To remember is a gift. At times the act can be painful or playful; terrible or beautiful or a myriad of sensations all at once. These episodes, when assembled chronologically, become a timeline as diverse as a fingerprint, yet reveal themselves to be reflections of the experiences of others.
In concept, my work is about reviving, exploring and celebrating memories, through installation work that incorporates a mixed medium, interdisciplinary approach.
I enjoy transforming spaces in which the viewer can feel connected to the art. I work most with acrylic paint and mediums, graphite and aerosol paint, and utilize canvas and recycled or repurposed wood and other materials for substrates.
I am an artist and educator from Colorado, working and living between Switzerland and the Pacific Northwest with my wife and high school sweetheart, Vera, and our collective family of boys.
